workshop held by prof. G.Lussu and L. Perondi.
the workshop aimed at studing the relationship between spoken and visual narration. it was asked to give an interpretation of the science novel "Stories of your Life", by Ted Chiang. the novel is a non-linear story in which is explored an alien language, the Heptapode. heptapode is divided into Heptapode A and B. the first one is a spoken language which is described as having free word order and many levels of center-embedded clauses. heptapod B, the written language, has complex non-linear teleological structure. on the basis of the information given in the text I tried to ",invent", Heptapode B with all its grammar rules.
